E.M.D. SALES started as an ethnic grocery wholesaler & distributor in 1991. Our current distribution area covers the Metropolitan area of Washington, D.C., Maryland, Northern Virginia and Delaware, servicing the most important supermarket chains, restaurants and ethnic stores. E.M.D. is a minority family owned business providing employment to the community it serves. Located in Landover, MD, EMD Sales employs over 60 employees.  The Company operates from two warehouses with 62,000 sq ft.  Our fleet of 16 trucks is key to our 24 to 48 hour delivery turnaround, key to the success of our Company.

E.M.D. Sales offers over 2,000 groceries, refrigerated and frozen products.  Among our customers:  Shoppers Food & Pharmacy, El Primero, Stop and Shop/Giant, Food Lion, Bloom and Bottom Dollar, Super Fresh, Happy Harry’s, Wegmans, Weis, Magruders, Rodman’s Gourmet, Bestway, Grandmart, Hmart, Restaurant Depot, DPI, Millbrook and over 600 independent stores and other wholesalers.
